According to Mothers Against Dangerous Driving (MADD), 891 people died last year between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve as a result of drunk driving. Tie One On For Safety is MADD’s project that aims to reduce drunk driving related accidents.

Here are some tips on how you can get involved with the MADD campaign:

1. Display a MADD ribbon on your vehicle. Ribbons are available at your local MADD offices.

2. Raise and donate to MADD. All the money you raise will stay in your community to help stop drunk and drugged driving. Find out more about fundraising at www.madd.donordrive.com.

3. Raise awareness of drunk driving. Start conversations with your family and friends about the MADD campaign. Discuss the dangers of drunk driving especially during the festive season and don't forget to designate a non-drinking driver.
